Tamasauskas, born in 1947 in a displaced persons camp in Germany after his family fled Lithuania, is a renowned printmaker known for integrating found objects into his works to explore interior landscapes. Rejecting conventional printmaking, he experiments with collage to create dynamic textures. Formerly Master Printer and Director of Etching at Open Studio Toronto, he has taught printmaking at several Canadian universities, including Queen’s University.
